So I ended up staying up for the Opening Ceremony. For me, it started at 3:45AM and it finished at 7:00AM.

I loved the dancing greek art and the child in the giant paper hat.

Then the teams came out. This took one-and-a-half hours, but I was determined to see the all-important lighting of the flame LIVE. A little man came and ran up many stairs, and then put his torch on what the entire population of the world has agreed upon as a very large, pivoting doobie.

I went straight to bed after that.
