I remember watching something on the telly many years ago about a child who was born without tear glands. Because he was unable to lube up his eyes, he couldn�t see anything or even open them up very much at all. The doctors in a hospital put saliva glands behind his eyes and wired them up so they could act as tear glands. The procedure was a total success and the boy could see. But every time the boy would smell yummy food, he�d cry.
