I'm 33 weeks pregnant right now. A few people have asked me, "How's the mother going?" Or something like that. Something unnecessarily third person-ish. Or are they actually asking the baby? There is no use. The baby doesn't speak English yet. It is less than zero years old and is aquatic. How about asking me, "How are you?" like a normally phrased question? GOD.

Maybe I should respond by saying, "The mother is good. How is the middle-aged man?"
